MONKTON — A 24-year-old man from East Middlebury was involved in a crash in Monkton yesterday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on Mountain Road at around 7:00 p.m.
Police say that Kenneth A. Marcelle Jr. slid off the road and collided with a telephone pole.
Marcelle was unable to remove his vehicle from the ditch, was picked up at the scene by a friend, and transported to a nearby residence.
He was issued a criminal citation to appear in court at a later date for leaving the scene and negligent operation
