Crash involving state AOT plow truck in Sheldon

SHELDON — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Sheldon early this morning.

The crash involved a State of Vermont AOT plow truck on Route 105 at around 5:25 a.m.

According to the report, Bailey Corwell, 27, of Swanton, slid through a stop sign controlling the intersection of Route 120 and Route 105 due to the snow-covered road conditions.

He was hit by Raymond Desautels, 62, of Franklin.

Corwell’s vehicle was towed from the scene due to disabling damage.

No injuries were reported.

Police say no tickets have been issued or criminal charges filed as a result of the crash at this time.

State Police were assisted on the scene by the Sheldon Fire Department, Enosburg Ambulance Services, the United States Border Patrol, and Stone’s Towing.
