Woman arrested for DUI #2 in Rutland

RUTLAND — A 58-year-old woman was arrested for her second DUI following an incident in Rutland yesterday.

Police say they located a vehicle motionless at a blinking red light at the corner of West Street and South Main Street at around 10:35 p.m.

Police say they found a woman slumped over and sleeping behind the wheel of the running vehicle.

Police identified the driver as Tammy Lancour, of Rutland.

While speaking with Lancour, signs of impairment were observed, police say.

She was taken into custody for driving under the influence and transported to the Vermont State Police barracks for processing.

After processing, she was released on a citation to appear in court to answer the charge of DUI #2.
