Man cited for retail theft at C&C Market in Barton

BARTON — A 35-year-old man was cited for retail theft following an incident in Barton on Friday.

Authorities say they were notified of a theft of merchandise from the C&C Market at around 9:10 a.m.

Troopers spoke with staff who reported a man entered the store and left with a cart of groceries without paying.

Police say he drove off in a silver vehicle with no plates.

Police say the man was located and identified as Jeremy Young, of Barton.

Following an investigation, police allege that Young had stolen the merchandise from C&C Market.

He was cited to appear in court for the charges.
