Police: Motorcycle clocked doing 94 mph through Sheldon, driver charged

SHELDON — A 33-year-old man from Enosburgh Falls was cited following an incident in Sheldon yesterday.

Police were conducting speed enforcement on Route 105 at around 6:50 p.m.

Police say they observed a motorcycle traveling west on Route 105, near Mill Street, traveling 94 miles-per-hour in a 50 miles-per-hour zone.

The motorcycle was stopped without incident and the driver was identified as Evan Marsha.

Police say Marsha had just passed a school zone and a crest of a hill through an intersection at the time of the witnessed offense.

Route 105 has continued to be a problem area for speed and drivers are cautioned to abide by the posted speed limits.

Marsha was issued a citation to appear in court for the offense of negligent operation.
