2 people cited for violating no stalking order in Pownal

POWNAL — Two people were cited following an incident in Pownal yesterday.

Authorities were notified of a citizen dispute on Route 346 at around 1:50 a.m.

Following an investigation, police allege that Willard F. Buell, 62, of Pownal, violated a no stalking order by following the protected party while she was driving.

Police say he cut her off with his truck and confronted her in the middle of the road.

During this same incident, Yvonne M. Pratt, 47, of Pownal, was also in violation of a no stalking order by having contact with the protected person.

Police say they located Pratt a short time later and issued a citation to appear in court on August 29 for violating a no stalking order.

Buell was located yesterday evening and issued a citation to appear in court on August 29 for the charges of violation of no stalking order, and negligent operation.
