SALISBURY — A 21-year-old woman from Middlebury was arrested following an incident in Salisbury on Friday.
Police say they observed a vehicle traveling south on US Route 7 at an excessive speed at around 10:10 p.m.
Police say they attempted to stop the vehicle, which fled south on US Route 7 at speeds of over 100 miles-per-hour.
The vehicle subsequently passed multiple other vehicles on the left with extreme recklessness and did not stop, police say.
Troopers did not pursue the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Makayla Kimball.
Yesterday, Kimball was taken into custody and transported to the New Haven barracks for processing.
She was charged with eluding a law enforcement officer, grossly negligent operation, and excessive speeding.
She was released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.
