BRIGHTON — A 57-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Brighton on Tuesday.

Authorities say they were notified of a threatening complaint at a home on Railroad Street at around 10:30 p.m.

Police say they spoke with the victim about the incident.

The woman told police that her neighbor, Kevin Guckin, of Brighton, had come home and began to threaten her and another resident.

Troopers met and spoke with Guckin about the incident.

Troopers say they detected a strong odor of intoxicants emitting from Guckin’s person and he reported to have consumed alcohol.

It was later found that Guckin had active court-ordered conditions of release to not drink alcohol.

He was arrested and transported back to the Derby barracks for processing.

He was issued a citation and lodged at Northern State Correctional Facility.
