Car parked in Waterbury has gas tanked drilled, police looking for suspect

WATERBURY — Police are continuing to investigate an incident that took place in Waterbury last month.

Thomas Murphy, 31 of Burlington, reported to police that his gas tank was drilled and emptied.

The vehicle was parked in the SunCommon parking lot on US Route 2 at around 6:15 p.m. on May 20.

A red sedan was identified as a vehicle of interest and a photo of the vehicle was released to the public today.
