Police: Waterbury man arrested on multiple charges

WATERBURY — A 32-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Waterbury on Sunday.

Police say they initiated a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation on North Main Street at around 11:45 a.m.

The driver was identified as Ramsey Haskins, of Waterbury.

Police allege that Haskins had a criminally suspended driver’s license and court-ordered conditions of release not to operate a motor vehicle.

Following an investigation, it was also found that Haskins was in possession of multiple dangerous/deadly weapons, which he had court-ordered conditions of release not to possess.

He also had an active arrest warrant.

Haskins was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Vermont State Police Middlesex barracks for processing.

He was issued a citation to appear in court today and lodged in Northwest State Correctional Facility for lack of a $200 bail.
