BRIDPORT — A 43-year-old man is facing charges after an incident in Bridport early this morning.
Authorities say they were notified of an assault at a home on Crown Point Road at around 12:15 a.m.
Following an investigation, police allege that Larry S. Sunderland, of Bridport, assaulted a domestic partner.
Police say Sunderland vandalized and destroyed the victim’s cell phone during the incident.
Sunderland was transported to the New Haven barracks for processing and later released with a citation to appear in court at a later date.
He was also issued active conditions of release, police say.
