Driver injured during two-vehicle crash in Ferrisburgh

FERRISBURGH — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Ferrisburgh yesterday.

The crash took place on US Route 7, north of Dakin Road, at around 5:50 p.m.

According to the report, Larry Sunderland, 43, of Bridport, was following too closely behind KO Onufry, 69, of Salisbury.

When Onufry stopped at a red light approaching a construction zone, the front end of Sunderland, hit the rear end of Onufry’s vehicle.

Police say Onufry was transported to Porter Medical Center as a precaution.

According to the report, Sunderland was issued a VCVC for following too closely, which was the cause of this crash.

Troopers were assisted on scene by the Ferrisburgh Fire Department and Vergennes Area Rescue Squad.
