CLARENDON — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Clarendon yesterday.

The crash took place on US Route 7 southbound at the intersection of Vermont Route 103, at around 3:30 p.m.

Following an investigation, it was found that the driver, an 18-year-old from Mt. Holly, was headed south on US Route 7 before entering the left turning lane to Vermont Route 103.

Police say he was traveling too fast for the icy road condition.

When he tried to stop, his vehicle slid into the rear of the vehicle driven by Thomas Carney, 42, of Maspeth, NY, causing damage.

Police say no one was injured and all parties were wearing their seat belts.

State Police were assisted on scene by Clarendon Fire Department.
