LEICESTER — A 74-year-old man was arrested following an incident in Leicester yesterday.

Authorities were notified of a violation of an abuse prevention order on Ferson Road at around 5:55 p.m.

Following an investigation, police say that Donald Durkee, of Leicester, drove to a home with the intention of causing unnecessary suffering to a vulnerable adult.

While at the home, Durkee was found to be in violation of an active abuse prevention order.

Police say Durkee prevented access to emergency services for the victim.

He was transported to the New Haven barracks for processing and later lodged at Marble Valley Correctional Facility with active conditions of release and a citation to appear in court at a later date.
