Single-vehicle crash in Waitsfield takes out power lines

WAITSFIELD — A 41-year-old woman was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Waitsfield on Sunday.

The crash took place near US Route 100 on Meadow Road at around 6:05 p.m.

According to the report, Danielle S. Lillard, of Waitsfield, was headed east when she lost control of her vehicle and exited the right side of the road, colliding with a utility pole. 

As a result of the collison, power lines were damaged and blocked the road. 

US Route 100 and Meadow Road were closed while crews worked to restore power. 

Troopers were assisted on scene by the Waitsfield Fire Department, Green Mountain Power, and E&S Towing.
