Driver facing charges after crash on Route 100, Warren

WARREN — A 38-year-old man from Granville was arrested on multiple charges following a crash in Warren yesterday.

The two-vehicle crash took place on Route 100 near Ellen Lane at around 11:30 a.m.

According to the report, Robin Lehman, 68, of Warren, told police that the other driver crossed into his lane and side-swiped his car before fleeing the scene. 

Authorities were notified by an individual that a man appeared to be highly intoxicated beside Sugarbush Access Road. 

Police say they responded to the area and made contact with Riley Winch. 

Following an investigation, it was found that Winch was the owner of a vehicle that was involved in the crash on Route 100.

Police say while being taken into custody Winch resisted arrest. 

He was transported to the Middlesex barracks for processing before being transported to Barre City Police Department for detox. 

He was issued a citation to appear in court on August 12 to answer to the charges of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.
