Rutland man killed during head-on crash in Mount Holly

MOUNT HOLLY — A 28-year-old man from Rutland was killed following a head-on-collision in Mount Holly on Friday. 

The crash took place on Vermont Route 103 at around 3:30 p.m.

Authorities say Nicholas Q. Huynh, 35, of Reading, was traveling south when a northbound vehicle, driven by Matthew G. Gibbud, 28, of Rutland, entered into the southbound lane of travel and struck Huynh’s vehicle head on.  

Gibbud died from injuries sustained during the crash, and Huynh was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center.

Police are still investigating the crash.
