NEWPORT CENTER — Another local business was burglarized early this morning.
State police were notified of a burglary at Hilliker’s Store in Newport Center at around 2:40 a.m.
Police say two male suspects wearing dark clothing broke in through the glass door.
According to the report, the suspects stole an unknown amount of cigarettes as well as the cash drawer.
They fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan.
The cash drawer was later found on Lane Road in Coventry.
