Smash and grab burglary at Family Dollar in Orleans

ORLEANS — Police are still investigating after the Family Dollar in Orleans was robbed early Sunday morning.

At around 5:00 a.m. forced entry was made inside the building when someone smashed through the glass door.

Police say when they arrived the building was checked but the suspect had already fled the scene.

A glass display case containing mobile phones had been broken, and a register drawer pulled out.

Police have not said how much cash was taken, and the case is currently listed as active.
