BARTON — State police are investigating a vandalism incident that took place at a home in Barton last week.

Maria Morris, 60, of Barton, originally thought that someone was attempting to break into her home on Breezy Hill Road at around 12:45 a.m. on September 13.

There was no burglary, however, when police arrived they discovered the windshields on four different vehicles parked in the driveway appeared to have been struck and broken.

According to the police report, there were five total vehicles parked in the driveway and several tires on each of the five vehicles were punctured and flattened.

There were two first floor windows to the Morris home that were also broken as well, police say.

The vandals didn’t stop there, moving on to puncture and flatten several bicycle tires located on the property.

Evidence at the scene was collected by police.

Total damages during the vandalism are estimated to be around $10,000.
