NEWPORT — In 2012, The Memphremagog Watershed Association (MWA), a non-profit membership association dedicated to the preservation of the environment and natural beauty of the Memphremagog watershed, began a scholarship program that continues today.
MWA scholarships are intended for students interested in pursuing post-secondary education in the sciences, particularly but not limited to environmental science.
Scholarship applications for 2015 have been distributed to guidance offices and are due by March 30, 2015. This year recipients may be awarded from $500 to $1000.
