West Boylston police seek suspects in sneaker store shoplifting case

WEST BOYLSTON — A shoplifting incident at Sneaker Sapphire on West Boylston Street led to the theft of approximately $400 in clothing today, according to the West Boylston Police Department.

Authorities responded to the store at around 2:45 p.m. after reports of the theft.

The police are now seeking to identify two individuals in connection with the incident.

The suspects were last seen departing in a newer, silver Honda Accord with tinted windows and Connecticut license plates.

The vehicle was spotted heading north on RT.12 towards Sterling shortly after the shoplifting took place.

Investigators have also noted that the same suspects may have been involved in a similar incident at another sneaker store in the area.

Sgt. Jim Bartlett has been assigned to lead the investigation.
