Bristol police investigate road rage shooting, one injured

BRISTOL — A road rage shooting early this morning has led to the closure of a section of Broad Street and a significant police investigation.

According to the Bristol Police Department, the incident occurred at 395 Broad St. around 5:58 a.m. The confrontation resulted in one male being shot and subsequently airlifted to a trauma center by LifeStar.

The other individual involved in the incident remained on the scene and is cooperating with authorities.

Broad Street is currently shut down between Emmett St. and Todd St., and officials anticipate the closure will last through the afternoon as they continue their investigation.

Police emphasize there is no ongoing threat to the public, describing the event as an isolated incident.

They are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the inquiry.
