Tolland County police seek information on hit-and-run at golf club

COVENTRY — In response to a hit-and-run incident on April 9 at Skungamaug River Golf Club, Coventry police are calling for witnesses to come forward with any relevant information.

At about 7:57 p.m., officers arrived at the scene at 104 Folly Lane to find a blue Jeep Compass with New York license plates that had been hit from behind.

The responsible vehicle had fled without leaving contact details.

While the Jeep was parked, its owner suggested that there were likely witnesses present in the parking lot during the collision.

Investigating authorities believe the suspect’s vehicle may be either a Toyota or Nissan pickup truck equipped with a hitch.

The Coventry Police Department is actively seeking assistance from the public.
