New Milford accountant arrested on larceny charges

NEW MILFORD — Carl Benjamin Anderson, the owner of Anderson Accounting and Finance LLC, was arrested on March 12 by the New Milford Police Department Detective Bureau, facing charges of third-degree larceny for allegedly stealing from a local business client.

Anderson, who was contracted for bookkeeping and tax services, is accused of violating Connecticut General Statue 53a-124.

After his arrest, he was released on a $10,000 surety bond and is set to appear in Torrington Superior Court on March 20.

This marks Anderson’s third arrest by the New Milford Police for various larceny charges in recent months.

The police are currently investigating and reaching out to other potential victims in connection with Anderson’s activities.
