Police: West Charleston man facing slew of charges

DERBY — A West Charleston man is facing numerous charges after an incident that took place last month in Derby, police say.

On Sunday, Bradley Chase, 42, was cited into Orleans Court with charges of domestic assault, disorderly conduct, interfering with access to emergency services, and leaving the scene of a crash.

Police say the case goes back to April 15, 2016, when they were called to investigate an incident that happened on US Route 5 in Derby.

According to the police report, Chase chased the victim of the incident, knocking them to the ground, and had a brief altercation with a bystander rendering assistance to the victim.

Chase fled the scene and later crashed the vehicle he was driving.

Police say he failed to report the crash.

On Sunday he was cited into Orleans County Court to answer charges relating to the incident.
