BROWNINGTON — Police are reporting that a Brownington man was cited for Grand Larceny on Monday, after being accused of taking someone else’s property to a scrap yard.

On Monday, at 9:05 a.m., police received a call from Michel Vanasse, of Brownington, reporting that between 7/21 and 7/25, Dana Davis, 31, also of Brownington, had taken $1,500 worth of aluminum log bunks and posts from his property.

Davis is said to have taken the aluminum to a scrap yard for money without his permission.

After an investigation, Davis was cited for Grand Larceny.

Police also report that Davis was cited for Violation of Conditions of Release, for being served with another citation while he has a pending charge.

Davis is scheduled to appear in Orleans District Court on September 16.
