GREECE — A 24-year-old Greece man was arrested Thursday in connection with a series of residential burglaries that occurred in local neighborhoods, police said.

Leandro Torres was taken into custody by Greece Police Department detectives following an investigation into break-ins that took place in the Milford Street and Falmouth Street areas between late March and early April.

Investigators identified Torres as the suspect through surveillance footage, including video captured by a Tesla vehicle’s security system, forensic evidence and field interviews.

Detectives conducted surveillance at Torres’ residence before making the arrest without incident.

A search warrant executed at his home led to the recovery of multiple stolen items linked to the burglaries, according to police.

The stolen items included electronics, U.S. currency, video game systems, personal documents and debit/credit cards.

Torres has been formally charged in connection with four separate residential burglaries, though police suspect his involvement in as many as seven incidents.

He faces four counts of second-degree burglary and four counts of fourth-degree grand larceny.

Torres was transported to the Monroe County Jail and is awaiting arraignment in CAP Court.
