LANCASTER — The Lancaster Police Department responded to 516 calls for service from Feb. 28 to March 6, including 113 emergency medical service calls.

Patrol officers conducting random license plate checks at Walden and Central avenues identified a vehicle with a suspended registration from New Mexico due to suspended insurance.

The driver, aware of the lack of insurance, was issued traffic tickets, and the vehicle was towed after the license plates were confiscated.

A larceny attempt was reported in the village, where a vehicle parked overnight in a driveway was entered.

Although nothing was reported missing, the property’s disarray and unusual circumstances prompted an investigation with available Ring Camera footage.

While traveling northbound on Central Avenue, patrol officers stopped a vehicle with inadequate taillight, only to discover the driver had a suspended license.

The driver was taken into custody and issued traffic tickets.

A vehicle was reported stolen from a garage in town.

The complainant witnessed two unknown individuals drive away with the vehicle, which was reportedly taken without keys.

This incident is under investigation.

During routine patrol, an officer identified and apprehended a male suspect with a felony warrant from the Town of Amherst.

The individual’s identity was confirmed using booking photos, and he was transferred to Amherst Police.

Another arrest for aggravated unlicensed operation occurred on Transit Road when patrol stopped a vehicle traveling without headlights after dark.

The driver, found to have a suspended license, was ticketed, and the vehicle’s registered owner was summoned to the scene.
