KINGSTON — The Kingston Police Department has arrested Vanessa Lowe, 62, of Kingston, in connection with a fatal accident that occurred on December 27, 2022.
The charges against Lowe include second-degree assault and criminally negligent homicide, among other felonies and a misdemeanor.
The incident involved the operation of a motor vehicle by Lowe on Pinegrove Avenue, which resulted in the striking of Christine Tarasco, 65, of Kingston.
Tarasco later died from her injuries.
Following an investigation, findings were presented to the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, which led to a Grand Jury indictment and the issuance of a County Court Warrant for Lowe’s arrest.
Lowe was taken into custody and is being held at the Ulster County Jail pending arraignment in Ulster County Court scheduled for Friday, April 4, at 8 a.m.
