SALAMANCA — The Salamanca Police Department has reported multiple arrests and traffic violations during the first week of April.
On April 1, Ashton Curry, 20, of San Tan Valley, Arizona, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree and issued a citation for speeding following a traffic stop.
A resident on Wilson Street received an appearance ticket for a dog at large violation on April 2.
That same day, police issued four universal traffic tickets to motorists for speeding, uninspected motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle, and inadequate headlamps.
Christina French, 35, of Salamanca, was taken into custody on April 3 on a bench warrant from Cattaraugus County Court and transferred to the custody of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office.
Also on April 3, Damion Ly, 24, of Salamanca, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree and cited for operating a motor vehicle without stop lamps.
Andrew Skye, 36, of Salamanca, was arrested for Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree and Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree on April 3.
On April 4, police issued one universal traffic ticket for speeding.
Brent Battaglia, 43, of Salamanca, was taken into custody for Menacing in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree following a domestic incident on April 4.
Jorrie Lane, 27, of Salamanca, was arrested for Assault in the 3rd Degree following a domestic incident that same day.
Jessica Wilder, 42, of Salamanca, was taken into custody on April 4 on a bench warrant from Salamanca City Court.
Quinton Jackson, 20, of Gowanda, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct on April 4.
Jose Tochimani, 21, of Jamestown, was taken into custody for Driving While Intoxicated and Leadra’s Law-felony Aggravated DWI following a single-car accident on Parkway Drive on April 4.
No injuries were reported.
On April 5, police issued two universal traffic tickets to a bicyclist for inadequate bike lights and failure to use a bicycle lane, and one ticket to a motorist for running a red light.
Gregory McIntyre, 46, of Salamanca, was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree and issued a citation for speeding on April 5.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
