SHREWSBURY — A 63-year-old Shrewsbury man faces sexual assault charges following an investigation that began with a domestic assault report in late February.
Joseph Marro was charged after Vermont State Police troopers responded to a residence in Shrewsbury on Feb. 27 for a reported domestic assault.
During their investigation, troopers discovered allegations of sexual assault made by the same victim against Marro.
Detective Troopers from the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Troop B West conducted the sexual assault investigation.
Marro was issued a citation while at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on April 1 at 12:30 p.m.
