TROY, NY — A joint operation between Troy Police, Watervliet Police and the DEA-Albany Task Force resulted in the seizure of six firearms and the arrest of one man following early morning raids Friday.
Law enforcement executed two separate court-ordered search warrants around 7 a.m. at addresses in South Troy – one at 362 2nd Street and another at 335 1st Street.
The search warrants were part of an ongoing drug and weapon investigation conducted by Troy PD Special Operations Section Detectives, Watervliet PD Detectives and members of the DEA-Albany Task Force.
Evidence technicians seized six illegally-possessed firearms, a bulletproof vest and over $20,000 in U.S. currency during the raids.
Anderrious T. Perry, 44, of Troy, was arrested at the scene and faces charges of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 4th Degree with a Previous Conviction.
Perry was processed at Troy PD’s Central Station and arraigned in Troy City Court before being remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing and will be prosecuted by the Rensselaer County District Attorney’s Office.
