Cortlandville man charged with felonies after domestic incident

CORTLANDVILLE — A 30-year-old Cortlandville man faces felony charges after allegedly damaging property during a domestic incident Sunday morning.

Cody B. Carroll of Bennie Road was arrested at 2:30 p.m. Sunday and charged with third-degree criminal mischief and aggravated family offense, both felonies, according to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a residence in the Town of Cortlandville at approximately 10:41 a.m. for a reported domestic incident.

During their investigation, officers determined Carroll had damaged property belonging to someone known to him.

Carroll was located and taken into custody shortly after officers arrived at the scene.

He was processed at the Sheriff’s Office and arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Process at 6:20 p.m.

Carroll was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Cortlandville Town Court on April 9 at 11:30 a.m.
