SARATOGA COUNTY — Four individuals were arrested following a series of underage alcohol sales compliance checks conducted by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office and State Liquor Authority investigators on March 7.
The operation targeted businesses in the towns of Malta, Halfmoon and Clifton Park.
Craig W. Storms, 41, of Queensbury, Samantha L. Keener, 39, of Hudson, Zachary M. Shaver, 29, of Halfmoon, and Mariana Santillan, 26, of Halfmoon, were each charged with unlawfully dealing with a child in the 1st degree, a class A misdemeanor, and procuring alcoholic beverages for persons under the age of 21 years, a violation.
All four are accused of selling alcoholic beverages to an undercover agent who was under 21 years old.
Storms and Santillan were released on appearance tickets pending further proceedings in the Clifton Park Town Court.
Keener and Shaver were released on appearance tickets pending further proceedings in the Halfmoon Town Court.
The businesses found to be non-compliant were Speedway on Commerce Drive in Clifton Park, Spare Time on Route 9 in Halfmoon, Food Mart Sunoco on Route 9 in Halfmoon, and La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant on Park Avenue in Clifton Park.
Thirteen other businesses in the three towns were checked and found to be in compliance with laws prohibiting alcohol sales to minors.
