Rhode Island troopers make multiple arrests in Providence area

LINCOLN — Rhode Island State Police arrested four individuals on various charges during a 24-hour period from March 14-15, according to officials at the Lincoln Woods Barracks.

Jordan Cook, 31, of Cranston, was arrested at 11:12 a.m. Friday on an arrest warrant for larceny under $1,500 from the Pawtucket Police Department following a traffic stop in Providence.

Jose Guisao Montes, 30, of Central Falls, was taken into custody at noon Friday on charges including larceny over $1,500 from a person 65 or older, conspiracy, and a bench warrant for failure to appear in court.

Carter Raheem, 26, of Providence, was arrested at 11:45 p.m. Friday on a Kent County Superior Court bench warrant for domestic violence-simple assault after a traffic stop in Pawtucket.

Jairon Medrano, 38, of Providence, was arrested at 2:45 a.m. Saturday for driving under the influence and refusing a chemical test following a traffic stop in Providence.

Cook was arraigned at Sixth Division District Court, while Guisao Montes and Raheem were transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution Intake Center after processing.

Medrano was released to a responsible adult after arraignment.
