WHEATFIELD — A Wheatfield man was arrested Wednesday on multiple felony weapons charges following the execution of a search warrant at his residence.
Justin A. Schoelles, 43, faces numerous charges including multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful purchase of body armor, and unlawfully possessing or selling noxious materials.
The New York State Police Community Stabilization Unit, along with several other law enforcement units, executed a search warrant at Schoelles’ home on Niagara Road at 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Multiple weapons were seized during the search, according to authorities.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives was notified and responded to assist with the investigation.
Schoelles was processed at the State Police barracks in Lockport and transported to Niagara County Jail for centralized arraignment.
The charges against Schoelles include 24 felony counts related to alleged possession of assault weapons, silencers and high-capacity magazines.
