SOMERVILLE — Somerville police responded to multiple incidents including two assaults and a residential break-in over a three-day period, according to police reports.
On March 10 at approximately 12:20 p.m., officers were called to a residence on Cameron Avenue for a reported breaking and entering.
The reporting party told police that his tenants, who had been away on break, returned to discover their bicycles had been stolen.
In a separate incident on March 9 at approximately 5:51 p.m., police responded to 779 McGrath Highway for a weapons call.
Upon arrival, officers encountered two juvenile males who stated they were being chased by a group of five juveniles with knives.
Officers located the group of juvenile suspects nearby and identified them, recovering knives from two of the juveniles.
On March 8 at approximately 2:02 p.m., police responded to Cedar Street for a reported assault.
The victim told officers he was standing on the bike path when he was approached by a female who grabbed his hat off his head.
Police also reported several other crimes during this period, including five bike thefts, two motor vehicle vandalisms, one motor vehicle theft, one car break-in, and one package theft.
