North Haven detectives extradite New York man for December street takeover

NORTH HAVEN — North Haven detectives traveled to Rikers Island Wednesday to extradite Segundo Tixi Tixi, 28, of Flushing, N.Y., who faces multiple charges related to a December 2024 street takeover incident.

Tixi Tixi was arrested Thursday, March 6, by the United States Marshal Service at his residence in New York.

He was held in New York as a fugitive from justice during the extradition process to Connecticut.

Tixi Tixi has been charged with assault in the second degree, evading responsibility which caused serious physical injury, evading responsibility which caused physical injury, breach of peace in the second degree, reckless endangerment in the first degree, reckless driving, and illegal racing on a highway.

The charges stem from his alleged involvement in a street takeover that occurred in North Haven in December 2024.

North Haven police officials stated they will not tolerate this type of behavior, describing it as dangerous and a quality of life issue for residents.

Authorities indicated that individuals who disrupt the quality of life in North Haven can expect consequences.
