BRISTOL — On Feb. 10 at approximately 5 p.m., the Bristol Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance at 89 Wood St.

Upon arrival, officers encountered Eric Squires, 42, of 89 Wood St., standing in the hallway covered in blood and unresponsive to police instructions.

Inside the apartment, officers found two adult female victims who had sustained multiple stab wounds during a domestic altercation.

Investigators determined that Squires had stabbed the two women repeatedly during the disturbance.

Squires was taken into custody, and the victims were transported to Rhode Island Hospital, where they were treated and listed in stable condition.

He faces charges including two counts of felony domestic assault on persons over 60 resulting in serious bodily injury, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon in a dwelling house, and one count of possession of a knife during the commission of a felony.

He was also charged with one count of weapons other than firearms prohibited, one count of domestic disorderly conduct, and one count of violation of a no-contact order, second offense.
