Rhode Island State Police make multiple arrests

PROVIDENCE — The Rhode Island State Police reported several arrests this week, including charges ranging from assault to possession of child pornography.

On Thursday, February 6, at 11:03 p.m., troopers arrested Michelle Lefebvre, 38, of Johnston, for assault of a healthcare provider or emergency service personnel. The arrest followed a barracks investigation and assistance from the Hopkinton Police Department in locating Lefebvre. She was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned by a justice of the peace, and released with a future court date at Sixth Division District Court.

On February 5, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Patrick Bury, 54, of Pawtucket, on a warrant for failure to register as a sex offender. Bury was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Pawtucket Police Department.

On February 6, the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Robert Gianopoulos, 69, of Pawtucket, for possession of child pornography. Gianopoulos was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and arraigned in Providence District Court. Judge Capraro set bail at $2,500 surety with conditions, including no unsupervised contact with minors and limited internet use.

Also on February 6, the Gaming Enforcement Unit arrested Jalen Aquino, 23, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, on two felony counts of obtaining money under false pretenses. Aquino was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and arraigned at Third Division District Court.
