Rhode Island State Police make multiple arrests in Providence area

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police made several arrests in the Providence area over a 24-hour period, including charges ranging from driving under the influence to possession of a stolen vehicle.

At 11:40 a.m. on February 4, troopers arrested Tommy Walker, 44, of Providence, on a bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on a charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license. The arrest followed a motor vehicle stop on Constitution Street. Walker was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and later arraigned at Third Division District Court.

At 2:02 p.m., Levi Sullivan, 40, of Providence, was arrested on a felony shoplifting warrant from the Woonsocket Police Department. Sullivan was taken into custody during a motor vehicle stop on Branch Avenue and later turned over to Woonsocket police.

At 12:46 a.m. on February 5, Raul Lopez, 36, of Central Falls, was arrested for forgery and counterfeiting of registration plates and providing false documents to a public official. Lopez was stopped on Broad Street in Pawtucket, processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, and released after arraignment by a justice of the peace.

At 2:02 a.m., Eugene Grundy, 33, of Warwick, and Brigitte Healey, 36, of North Providence, were arrested for possession of a stolen motor vehicle and conspiracy. Both were taken into custody during a motor vehicle stop on Union Avenue in Providence and held overnight pending arraignment.

At 2:42 a.m., William Marrero Castejon, 36, of Providence, was arrested for driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test. Castejon was stopped on Chad Brown Street, processed, and released with a future court date.

At 2:55 a.m., Nathan Silva, 26, of Pawtucket, was arrested for eluding law enforcement and reckless driving, both second offenses. Silva was located and taken into custody by Providence police, then held pending arraignment.
