BROOKLINE — Four individuals have been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred on Saturday, police announced today.
The Brookline Police Department responded to reports of gunshots on New Terrace Road at about 1:25 a.m. on January 11.
Officers found several spent shell casings at the scene but no victim was immediately located.
Following inquiries at local hospitals, authorities discovered that an 18-year-old male from Newton had walked into the Brigham & Women’s Hospital Emergency Department with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound linked to the New Terrace Road incident.
The Brookline Police Detectives launched an investigation, which led to the arrests earlier today.
The suspects include a 17-year-old male from Roslindale, charged with armed assault to murder and various firearm-related offenses, Thomas May, an 18-year-old from Brookline, and two other males, ages 16 and 18, from Brookline and Needham respectively, all charged with being an accessory after the fact and other firearm offenses.
Chief Jennifer Paster confirmed that all individuals were taken into custody without incident.
The Detective Division continues to investigate the case.
