BOSTON — Boston Police Department detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in an unarmed robbery that occurred in Roxbury.

The incident took place on Jan. 8 at about 6:13 p.m. at 12 Cherokee Street.

The suspect, described as a Black Hispanic male around 5 feet 6 inches tall with a stocky build, was last seen wearing a white parka jacket, dark pants, black shoes with black gloves, and a helmet adorned with orange arrow designs.

Authorities say the suspect pushed an elderly victim against a wall before stealing a package from the building’s hallway.

He then reportedly fled the scene on a moped that had a food delivery bag attached to the back, heading towards Pontiac Street.

The Boston Police Department is actively investigating the robbery and urges anyone with information to contact District B-2 detectives at (617) 343-4275.

The department assures that the identities of those who offer tips in an anonymous manner will be protected.
