PROVIDENCE — Three men were arrested by the Rhode Island State Police on charges ranging from domestic violence to felony assault and providing false documentation to public officials, authorities said Monday.
At 12:32 p.m., troopers from the Lincoln Woods Barracks apprehended 44-year-old Brien Gallagher of Providence following a traffic stop on Princeton Avenue.
Gallagher was wanted on a Superior Court Bench Warrant for failing to appear at a hearing related to a felony assault and/or battery charge from the Pawtucket Police Department.
He was processed at the barracks and taken to Providence Superior Court for arraignment.
Later, at 2:18 p.m., 32-year-old Ralph White of Coventry was arrested in connection with a motor vehicle accident on Route 95 South.
White faced charges for a third-offense criminal violation of a no-contact order under Rhode Island’s domestic violence statutes.
Following processing at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, he was transferred to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center as a bail violator.
Additionally, at 2:07 p.m., Theophilus Asare, 39, from Worcester, Massachusetts, was taken into custody on two active Affidavit and Arrest Warrants.
Asare’s charges included obstructing an officer, passing counterfeit bills, DUI, and operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock system, among others.
State troopers arrested Asare at the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal, and after processing at State Police Headquarters, he was also sent to the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.
