Warren store hit by New Year’s Day theft, police seek suspect

WARREN — A retail theft incident occurred at the Warren Store, located at 384 Main Street, on New Year’s Day, authorities reported Wednesday.

Vermont State Police responded to a theft report from the store on Jan. 8, after store officials discovered the crime.

The initial investigation determined that an unidentified individual entered the store on Jan. 1 at about 1:29 p.m. and stole merchandise valued at approximately $925.

State Police are actively searching for the suspect involved in the incident.

Trooper Mae Murdock from the Berlin Barracks is leading the investigation.

The public is encouraged to come forward with any relevant information that could help identify the perpetrator.
