BARNSTABLE — The Barnstable Police Department is actively seeking Jerome Trent, wanted for possession of a firearm without an FID card, two counts of threatening to commit a crime, and three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon following an incident on Jan. 5.

Trent, described as a 5-foot-10-inch tall male weighing 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, is also wanted for an outstanding narcotics probation violation warrant.

Authorities advise that Trent’s current whereabouts are unknown, but he is known to frequent the Hyannis and Bourne areas.

The public is warned not to approach Trent as he is considered armed and dangerous.

Instead, anyone who encounters him should immediately contact 911 or their local police department.
