802 Market and Deli burglarized, police seek information

NORTH TROY — A burglary at 802 Market & Deli has left the local business short approximately $400 worth of merchandise, officials said today.

Vermont State Police were called to the scene at 179 Railroad Street around 10:50 p.m. Wednesday after a report of a break-in at the village store.

The perpetrator had fled before authorities arrived.

According to the police, the burglar gained entry by forcefully damaging the door.

Troopers have collected evidence from the site of the burglary and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.
