Man cited for hit-and-run on US Route 5 in Westminster

WESTMINSTER — An 86-year-old Westminster man was cited for hit-and-run after allegedly causing damage to a parked car and leaving the scene, Vermont State Police reported.

The incident occurred on Dec. 17, when authorities responded to a report of a crash at approximately 4 p.m. along US Route 5.

Upon investigation, police determined that Richard Todd had collided with a parked vehicle and had failed to notify the owner before leaving the area.

Todd has been ordered to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham Criminal Division, on Feb. 4 at 8:30 a.m. to respond to the charge of leaving the scene of an accident.
