Waterbury, CT police arrest man for possession of stolen vehicle

WATERBURY — In a late-night patrol, Waterbury police officers recovered a stolen car and arrested a 23-year-old man on Jan. 5.

At about 11:06 p.m., officers were patrolling the area of West Main Street and Judd Street when they spotted a 2023 Acura TLX that had been reported stolen from Hollis, NY, parked on the street.

Qaron Brown, of Waterbury, CT, approached the vehicle and used a key fob to unlock it, attempting to enter the car.

Police quickly intervened and took Brown into custody.

He was uncooperative and refused to provide his name to the authorities.

Brown now faces charges including interfering with an officer and larceny of a motor vehicle, marking his first offense of this nature.

Brown is scheduled to appear for his court arraignment on Jan. 16.
